2rw Consultants, Inc. assisted Diversified Intelligence, publisher of Facility Auditmate™ software, in conducting a facility condition assessment for the University of Delaware Residential and Conference Facilities. The results of the study are being used as both a work management and capital funding planning tool. The building audit team:
- Surveyed approximately 2,700,000 sq ft
- Assessed existing conditions of the building envelope, HVAC, plumbing, interior lighting, electrical, fire protection and fire detection
- Identified non-compliance situations for current life safety and building code requirements and building system deficiencies
- Ranked problems based upon severity and effects on occupant health and safety as well as property integrity
- Estimated the costs for repairing/replacing/rectifying problems and the life expectancy of building systems
